Love in the Moment Couples Study 1, 2022

Couples attended a laboratory session together where they engaged in seven videorecorded conversations: one about how they first met, one about each person’s goals for the coming months (2 conversations), one about what each person admires about their partner (2 conversations), and one about the mundane activities of each person’s day (2 conversations). They completed an online survey prior to attending the lab session, measures after each conversation in the lab, and a brief online survey six months later. The initial goals of this project focus on developing a measure of love in the moment and testing questions about power, so we have quite a few items on these topics. However, please see standardized meta-data below for a comprehensive description of constructs that could be used to test a wide range of hypotheses.
