This web layer contains data of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). This provides information on a number of national highways, national highway length, number of state highway etc. This provides information at the district level. The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), was launched by the Govt. of India to provide connectivity to unconnected Habitations as part of a poverty reduction strategy. Govt. of India is endeavoring to set high & uniform technical & management standards & facilitating policy development and planning at State level in order to ensure sustainable management of the rural roads network. District Rural Roads Plan The District Rural Roads Plan would indicate the existing road network system in the district and clearly identify the proposed roads for providing connectivity to Unconnected Habitations, in an economic and efficient manner, in terms of cost and utility. The Core Network will identify the roads required to assure each eligible Habitation with a Basic Access (single all-weather road connectivity) to essential social and economic services. Accordingly, the Core network would consist of some of the existing roads as well as all the roads proposed for New Connectivity under the PMGSY.
