Topics: 1. Expectations for the year 1982: personal expectations for
the next year; expected development of unemployment, strikes and
conflicts in the country; expected economic development; danger of a
new world war; judgement on the development of international relations.

2. Most important political problems of the country: satisfaction with
democracy in the country; attitude to the existing social system; most
important political problems of the country in the areas of domestic
and foreign policy; postmaterialism.

3. Attitude to Europe as well as the European Community: judgement on
the relations of the FRG with Western European neighbors; attitude to
unification of Western Europe; assessment of the development of harmony
between the EC countries in recent time; development prospects for the
community for the next few years; general attitude to the community and
degree of one´s own solidarity.

4. Miscellaneous: detailed recording of frequency and degree of
perceived disturbance from selected sounds and sources of noise;
company size and regional origin; personal opinion leadership;
political interest; self-assessment of political location on a
left-right continuum; party preference (Sunday question and general
preference) as well as party identification; form of housing and
settlement density in one´s residential area; preference for living in
city or country.

Demography: age; sex; marital status; religious denomination;
frequency of church attendance; school education; occupational
position; employment; company size; income; household income; household
size; household composition; respondent is head of household;
characteristics of head of household; residential status; city size;
degree of urbanization; state.
