Climatic Maps for the Territory of Ukraine at 1 km Resolution (2015-2022 Average) – Global Horizontal Irradiance, Temperature >25 °C, Precipitation, and Wind Speed
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides a set of high-resolution climatic raster maps (1 km spatial resolution) for the territory of Ukraine, developed to support geospatial assessment of solar photovoltaic (PV) potential. The data is derived from the ERA5-Land reanalysis dataset (Copernicus Climate Data Store), originally available at ~9 km resolution. The following variables were selected and processed for the period 2015–2022: Global Horizontal Irradiance (GHI) – accumulated annual solar radiation, Temperature above 25 °C – sum of hourly values exceeding 25 °C (proxy for potential PV performance loss), Mean annual wind speed – derived from u/v components at 10 m height, Total annual precipitation – rain and snow combined. Original ERA5-Land data were aggregated for each year, then multi-year averages (2015-2022) were computed. All outputs were: Resampled to 1 km resolution using bilinear interpolation, Reprojected from native ERA5 coordinates to EPSG:32636 (WGS 84 / UTM zone 36N) for national consistency. These climate layers were used as input to the land suitability analysis for solar energy deployment under the U_CAN – Ukraine towards Carbon Neutrality project (Horizon Europe, GA No. 101148374).
