资源简介:
The dataset used in the study entitled "A Closer Look: Factors impacting HIV durable viral suppression among a cohort of clinic attendees in Trinidad Tobago" serves to investigate the disparities in durable viral suppression (DVS) among people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Trinidad and Tobago. The purpose of this dataset was to understand better which factors contribute to achieving DVS, which is critical for effective HIV management and reducing transmission rates. The dataset encompasses clinical data of 533 adult PLHIV who attended the Medical Research Foundation of Trinidad Tobago (MRFTT) clinic, one of the largest HIV care facilities in the Caribbean, from 2017 to 2021. The nature of the dataset is retrospective, including various demographic and clinical variables. These variables include age, gender, ethnicity, and the number of clinical visits over the years, alongside the sustained HIV viral load measurements. The scope of the data analysis involved multiple statistical methods to explore the relationship between these variables and DVS. Initial univariate analysis characterized individuals who achieved DVS, followed by bivariate analysis to pinpoint socio-demographic differences between those who achieved DVS and those who did not. Further, statistically significant variables identified in the bivariate analysis were analyzed through a regression model to ascertain the covariates impacting DVS. Overall, the dataset was critical in highlighting the proportion of patients achieving DVS and identifying key demographic and treatment-related factors associated with better health outcomes in this population. The findings suggest that factors like gender, duration of anti-retroviral treatment, and clinic engagement significantly influence the likelihood of achieving DVS.
