Utqiagvik, Alaska built infrastructure (buildings and roads) 2002 and 2014 (<1 meter resolution)

This is a geospatial dataset of built infrastructure (buildings and roads) in Utqiagvik, Alaska, containing polygon features corresponding to individual structures. Each polygon is assigned a class label corresponding to an infrastructure type (1 = Road, 2 = Residential/Commercial, 3 = Public). Structures were automatically extracted with a convolutional neural network from sub-meter spatial resolution commercial satellite imagery covering the extent of the city, acquired in 2002 and 2014. This dataset supports the findings presented in Manos, E.; Witharana, C.; Udawalpola, M.R.; Hasan, A.; Liljedahl, A.K. Deep Learning Convolutional Neural Networks for Automated Built Infrastructure Recognition in the Arctic using Sub-meter Spatial Resolution Commercial Satellite Imagery.
