These registers contain a record of all the pre-emptive leases in the Land District of Gundagai, kept by the Gundagai Crown Land Agent's Office.These registers record information such as name and address of leasee, number of lease, date of notification in the Government Gazette, county and parish, the area, the annual rent, the amount of rent paid, the period for which the rent is paid, the date of payment, and the folio number of the lease application register, as well as any other remarks.The registers are divided into sections for pre-emptive leases, defined pre-emptive leases and undefined pre-emptive leases.The pre-emptive leases cover numbers 1875/11 – 1884/10 for the period 03/09/1877 – 20/12/1884.The defined pre-emptive leases cover numbers 1864/1 – 1879/2 for the period 24/09/1877 – 29/11/1884.The undefined pre-emptive leases cover numbers 1865/1 – 1879/2 for the period 18/09/1877 – 29/11/1884.
