In August 2014 KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook an archaeological evaluation at Roughwood, Felden Lane, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Three trenches were excavated with a combined area of approximately 90 sq. m. which demonstrated that the site had been truncated, probably in the early 20th century, prior to the construction of the extant house. No archaeological cut features, deposits or artefacts were noted.
