NUP153 drives oncogenic TP63 expression through liquid-liquid phase separation mediated gene-gating in squamous cell carcinoma

Nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) are composed of 30 distinct nucleoporins (NUPs) and mainly regulate nucleocytoplasmic transport in eukaryotic cells. Epigenomic functions of NPCs beyond classical nuclear transport regulations were recently observed. In particular, NUP153, a component of nuclear basket structure of NPC, was shown to associate with SEs in several cell lines. Here, we investigated the effect of NUP153 silencing on the transcriptional regulation in TE5 cells.
