Role of sex as a biological variable in neonatal alveolar macrophages

In this study, lung alveolar macrophages were sorted and subjected to bulk RNA-Seq from male and female neonatal lungs. Overall design: Neonatal male and female pups were exposed to hyperoxia (95% FiO2) from PND1 through PND5. Lungs were homogenized, and alveolar macrophages were sorted using flow cytometry on PND7 and subjected to bulk RNA-Seq.
