TDBnet Microearthquake Catalogs, Mongolia (2023-2024)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains earthquake catalogs produced from the TDBnet temporary seismic experiment deployed in northern Mongolia to investigate present-day seismicity around the Tsetserleg–Bulnay–Dungen fault junction, which was affected by the 1905 Mw ≥ 8 earthquake sequence. TDBnet consisted of 15 three-component seismic stations deployed between August 2023 and December 2024. The network combined five broadband stations, operated for up to approximately 16 months, and short-period stations, operated during a denser five-month deployment from May to October 2024. Data from five permanent Mongolian seismic stations were also used to complement the temporary network. Two earthquake catalogs are provided: a broadband (BB) catalog covering the period when only broadband stations were operating; a short-period (SP) catalog covering the denser five-month deployment. Earthquakes were automatically detected and phase-picked using PhaseNet, associated into events with PyOcto, and located using NonLinLoc with a locally inverted 1-D velocity model. Relative relocations obtained with HypoDD are additionally provided for part of the events in the SP catalog. Focal-mechanism parameters derived using FMNEAR are included when calculated. The catalogs are provided as semicolon-delimited CSV files. A separate metadata document describes all catalog fields, units, data types, and missing values. These catalogs were produced as part of the study presented in Manceau et al., (submitted to JGR: Solid Earth), Fault Structure Derived From Long-Lasting Aftershocks After the 1905 Mw≥8 Tsetserleg-Bulnay Earthquake Sequence in Mongolia.
