policies regarding the FRG; knowledge about American conditions
regarding questions on social security, school system, trade unions,
nationalized branches of industry and geographic facts; things
perceived in common between Germans and Americans; assessment of the
individual freedom of the Americans; reading American newspapers and
books; listening to the ´Voice of America´; use of various sources of
information about America; contacts with Americans; image of America
(scale); honorary offices exercised; participation in political events;
