Community Parterships for NRM

Community Partnerships for NRM will be delivered through two major Northern Tablelands Local Land Services projects called ‘Healthy Rivers’ and ‘Trees on Farms’ via the application of market based instruments. These projects will deliver on-ground works incentives to landholders and capacity building activities identified by the local landcare community.
Onground works funded will include activities that - improve water quality and aquatic habitat, manage key threatening process to threatened species and communities, increase native vegetation on farms for improved connectivity and biodiversity and protecting and managing existing native vegetation through restoration. Additionally, this project will increase the engagement and participation of the community to build awareness of sustainable management of agriculture, natural resource management and promote the sustainable use of biological diversity. This will be achieved through capacity building activities that lead to quantifiable practice change.
