The RgaS-RgaR two-component system promotes Clostridioides difficile sporulation through a small regulatory RNA and the AgrD1 autoinducing peptide

This study identified a two-component system that directly activates two genes whose products promote C. difficile sporulation: the AgrD1 quorum-sensing peptide and a small regulatory RNA, SrsR. We also demonstrated that the C. difficile Agr1-like quorum-sensing system is not autoregulatory.
