The GMPR data set contains monthly analyzed precipitation ratios for
each five degree latitudinal and longitudinal box over the global for
the period from January 1997 to current month. The monthly
precipitation ratios are analyzed in the Climate Prediction Division
of the JMA based on precipitation ratios exchanged in the form of WMO
code FM72 CLIMAT via GTS.
