Reproducibility archive for "Un-physical mixing dominates projected weakening of the Atlantic overturning circulation"

This archive contains Python/Jupyter notebooks and processed data used to reproduce the figures for the manuscript “Un-physical mixing dominates projected weakening of the Atlantic overturning circulation”. The archive includes AMOC diagnostics from MITgcm and FESOM simulations covering 1990–2100 under SSP5-8.5 forcing, together with FESOM mesh metadata and period-mean diapycnal velocity fields. The notebooks reproduce overturning streamfunction plots, AMOC time series, and FESOM diapycnal velocity maps. The AMOC streamfunction data are decomposed into full, physical, and numerical components, following the methodology described in the manuscript. No external model-specific libraries are required; the figures can be reproduced using standard Python packages including numpy, scipy, matplotlib, xarray, and cartopy.
