Fecal particle size data of "Variation in chewing efficiency of Yakushima Japanese macaque (Macaca fuscata yakui)"

This dataset includes the data we used for the analysis in the published article (HE et al., 2020; 10.1002/ajpa.23955).The meaning of each column is listed below: No: Identification number of the sample.dmean: The discrete mass particle size of each sample. We followed a previous study (Fritz et al., 2012) for its calculation. p0: The proportion of the finest particles in each sample (Please refer to He et al., 2020 for its calculation method).altitude: The GPS-recorded altitudes of the collection positions. Some GPS records are missing. We marked their altitude as "NA"region: The altitudinal zone each sample belongs to. It is designated based on field observation of vegetation during collection. date: Date of collections.season: Seasons of sample collections. Spring, March-May; summer, June-August; autumn, September-November; winter, December-February.
