African countries with highest disaster risk 2022

Mozambique presented the highest natural disaster risk in Africa as of 2022. The country scored 34.37 in the WorldRiskIndex assessment and ranked among the 10 nations in the world under very high risk of being confronted with disasters due to extreme natural events. To follow, Somalia, Madagascar, Egypt and Tanzania recorded the largest risk levels on the African continent. Africa has been found to be the third world region most endangered by natural disasters.
