Polymicrobial infections are important heath problem because are common to colonize in human body and/or medical devices, forming mixed biofilms that are associated with increased antimicrobial resistance and virulence. However, despite the high incidence and severity, there are still few studies on polymicrobial infections, in specially about the microorganism genome variability involved in polymicrobial infections. We believed that polymicrobial infections could be promote an important adaptive mechanism. Here, we present the whole genome sequence of the Staphylococcus epidermidis GTH12 associated with Candida albicans SC5314 strain during long term culture in hypoxic at 37°C, providing useful information for genomic in polymicrobial infections.
