This dataset provides a geospatial inventory of rainfall-induced landslides in the Andean zone of the Biobío Region, Chile, covering the period 2023–2024. It was created and processed by Luis Alberto Gajardo Pino and Edilia Jaque, with contributions from the Multihazards Biobio Study Group. The inventory includes polygon features representing landslides, mainly debris flows and debris avalanches, triggered by two intense rainfall events in June and August 2023. Landslides were identified using a multitemporal SAR-based approach from Sentinel-1 imagery processed in Google Earth Engine (GEE), complemented by visual interpretation of Sentinel-2 optical images, GIS-based mapping, and selective field validation. No landslides were detected during 2024 rainfall events, despite higher precipitation, highlighting the role of synoptic-scale climate conditions in triggering landslides. The dataset is provided in WGS 1984 UTM Zone 19S, and is suitable for research on landslide susceptibility, hazard assessment, and geospatial analysis in mountainous environments.
