HERVH-mediated transcriptional and epigemonic alterations in pancreatic cancer cells

Endogenous retroviruses (ERVs) may function as regulatory elements or give rise to non-coding RNAs that modulate gene expression and influence tumor biology. However, the role of ERVs in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains elusive. This study aims to characterize HERVH-derived enhancer RNAs (eRNAs) that are overexpressed in PDAC and explore their functional relevance in tumor development.
