"This dataset contains day-ahead forecasted electricity consumption data for Austria collected from the SMARD electricity market platform and originally reported to the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 543\/2013. The dataset covers the period from 01 January 2015 to 02 March 2026, with a temporal resolution of 15 minutes (quarter-hourly).The forecasted consumption represents the total expected electrical load calculated by transmission system operators (TSOs) using historical load profiles, meteorological variables, and socio-economic indicators. The values are provided in megawatts per quarter hour and correspond to day-ahead forecasts published prior to electricity market trading closure.The dataset was exported in six consecutive time intervals in CSV format and merged into a unified compressed archive (ZIP file) for continuous long-term analysis. The data is suitable for applications including load forecasting, time-series modeling, renewable integration studies, demand variability analysis, smart grid research, and machine learning-based predictive modeling.The dataset is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing free use, redistribution, and adaptation with proper attribution to the original source (SMARD)."
