The Impact of High Quality Development in China’s Regional Smart Health and Elderly Care Industry on Residents’ Health

This dataset is a processed provincial panel dataset for the study on the impact of high-quality development of China’s smart health and eldercare industry on residents’ health. It covers 30 provincial-level regions in China from 2012 to 2022 at an annual province-year resolution. The data were compiled from the China Statistical Yearbook, China Civil Affairs Statistical Yearbook, China Energy Statistical Yearbook, provincial statistical yearbooks, CNRDS, and The Global Data Lab. A small number of missing values were completed using linear interpolation.The dataset contains variables used in the empirical analysis, including indicators and composite indexes generated after data cleaning, standardization, and calculation, as well as variables for baseline, heterogeneity, and threshold analyses. In tabular form, each row represents one province-year observation, and columns represent indicator variables, calculated index values, and control variables. Units follow the original statistical sources for corresponding variables. The file is intended for replication and reuse in regional panel analysis of smart health and eldercare development and health outcomes.
