【対象期間】 郡区町村数明治12年12月調査, 耕宅地明治13年6月調査【注記(計数出所）】 内務省地理局の調【脚注】 沖縄県及開拓使は耕宅地の調無きを以て之を省く。次表も亦同じ。府県名は明治14年12月現在のものを載す郡区町村数は明治12年12月の調査に拠り其内兵庫愛知滋賀石川愛媛の5県大阪府のうち旧堺県の分は明治13年の調査を用い耕宅地は明治13年6月の調査に係る。

Target Period: The number of prefectures, towns, and villages was surveyed in December 12, 1875, and the cultivated residential land was surveyed in June 13, 1876. [Notes (Source of Count)] The survey by the Geographical Bureau of the Ministry of the Interior. [Footnote] The Prefectures of Okinawa and the Development Bureau excluded areas without cultivated residential land. The table also follows the same. The names of the prefectures are as of December 14, 1876. The number of prefectures, towns, and villages is based on the survey of December 12, 1875. The division of the former Hyogo Prefecture in Osaka Prefecture was used in the survey of 1876, and the cultivated residential land is based on the survey of June 13, 1876.
