资源简介:

An upright stone (H 1.5m; 0.3m x 0.2m) standing at the head of a grave 20m SE of the ruined parish church in Aghabulloge graveyard (CO061-08002-). Macalister (1945, 103-5,no. 104) described the inscription as 'on N.E. angle, much rubbed in the middle though in good condition at the ends'. He gives the inscription as ANM CORRE MAQVI UDD [...] METT. According to Brash (1879, 130) 'this stone was formerly held in great veneration, and was called St.Olan's stone; it had a moveable cap of a semi-globular shape, known as the Coppeen Olan'. According to Hartnett (PJH) it was 'alleged to be an unfailing talisman in child-birth cases and was much sought after in other cases of female illness'. He also noted 'that rounds were paid at this stone, in conjunction with St. Olan's stone (CO061-080006-) and St. Olan's well, on the feast day of St. Olan Sept. 5th' (http://webgis.archaeology.ie/historicenvironment/, CO061-080005-). 3d model created using photogrammetry (47 images) and processed with Agisoft PhotoScan Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
