资源简介:

A cross slab located at Moybologue graveyard Co. Cavan. The inscription on the stone read Ór Du Ulbrun. It has been suggested that the stone may be dedicated to a Anglo-Saxon Female (Wulfrun) of 10th - 11th provinence. Alternatively it may refer to Ulbran (Beard-Ravan) or Albran (Wall-Ravan). The last possibility is that the name is connected to Ailbran (Stone-Ravan), a name which appears in connection Tréoit (774) and Clúain Dolcáin (781). It has been noted that Abbot Ailbran of Tréoit, about 50km from Moybologue, died in 774AD, The above suggestion were provided by Prof David Stifter of Maynooth University. This stone was first discovered to have an inscription by Martin Timoney, and later Brian Callaghan identifed a longer inscription. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
