Physical and biogeochemical observations from the Pearl River Estuary, Summer 2017

This dataset contains physical and biogeochemical measurements from a summer 2017 cruise in the Pearl River Estuary (PRE) and the adjacent coastal waters, originally published in Yu et al. (2020) and Yu and Gan (2025). The data includes surface salinity, surface chlorophyll-a, bottom dissolved oxygen, buoyancy frequency, and vertical profiles of dissolved oxygen. Buoyancy frequency, a measure of water column stratification, was calculated from CTD density profiles and is reported for the height corresponding to 20% of the total water depth above the sediment. All data are accompanied by full station metadata, including latitude, longitude, and timestamp.
