The ant genus Crematogaster Lund, 1831 (Formicidae: Myrmicinae) from Tropical Dry Forest in Colombia

The Tropical Dry Forest (BST) in Colombia is one of the most threatened terrestrial ecosystems, having lost 82% of its original extent, with less than 5% currently protected. This dataset provides records of acrobat ants of the genus Crematogaster (Formicidae) collected from BST fragments across different regions of the country. The data, obtained through standardized sampling methods, originate from the project 'Patterns of Historical and Ecological Diversity of Ants in the Tropical Dry Forest Socioecosystem of Colombia and its Implications for Conservation.' The aim is to contribute to the knowledge of the diversity and taxonomic composition of Crematogaster in this strategic ecosystem and to support its conservation.
