In a survey conducted among regular wine drinkers in New Zealand in October 2023, Sauvignon Blanc was the leading variety purchased among locally produced wines bought by respondents, with almost 60 percent of those surveyed buying the variety. Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir were also popular wines bought among respondents.
