Polytraits

Polytraits is a database on biological traits of polychaetes (bristle worms, Polychaeta: Annelida). It covers information about morphological, behavioural, reproductive and larval characteristics of polychaete taxa which has been collected from the literature. The project was initially started as an in-house project of the Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research. Traits were initially collected for an ecological analysis of polychaetes in Mediterranean lagoons, but since then the database has been continuously expanded to provide data for other analyses as well.Polytraits是一个收录多毛类环节动物（Polychaeta，俗称毛足虫）生物学性状的数据库。该数据库涵盖了从公开文献中搜集得到的多毛类类群的形态学、行为学、繁殖学及幼虫发育特征相关信息。本项目最初由希腊海洋研究中心（Hellenic Centre for Marine Research）下属的海洋生物学、生物技术与水产养殖研究所作为内部项目启动。其性状数据最初是为开展地中海潟湖多毛类生态分析而采集的，此后该数据库持续扩容，可为其他各类相关研究分析提供数据支持。
