Dataset_Moral Elevation and Prosocial Behavior in College Students The Mediating Role of Gratitude and the Moderating Role of Empathy

This dataset, "Dataset_Moral Elevation and Prosocial Behavior in College Students The Mediating Role of Gratitude and the Moderating Role of Empathy," was collected from college students at multiple universities in China between May and June 2025 via the Wenjuanxing online survey platform. Using a random sampling approach, a total of 1261 valid questionnaires were obtained. The dataset was used to examine the relationships among moral elevation, prosocial behavior, gratitude, and empathy. The dataset includes demographic variables and key psychological factors, including moral elevation, prosocial behavior, and gratitude, with empathy examined as a moderating variable. These data provide insights into the resource-based mechanisms linking moral elevation and prosocial behavior among college students, offering practical implications for interventions in educational, organizational, and social governance contexts.
