Comparison of enterovirus sequences from patients and wastewater during one year of wastewater surveillance in Clermont-Ferrand (France)

Raw wastewater were sampling during one year (October 2014-october 2015) in the wastewater treatment plant of Clermont-Ferrand (central France) twice a month. After concentration, the gene coding the major capsid protein was partially amplified and sequenced by deep-sequencing. Sequences were grouped into OTU, and representative sequences of these OTUs were compared to enterovirus sequences from hospitalized patients during the same period and in the same city.
