Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the malignant tumors with the worst prognosis. Understanding of the genomic changes associated with radiotherapy for HCC is still lacking. We divided HCC cell line SMMC-7721 into two groups with one duplicate sample in each group. Specifically, the cells were inoculated into a 25cm2 cell culture bottle and cultured at 37 degrees centigrade and 5% CO2. When the cell density was close to 70-80%, SMMC-7721 cells in the same batch were divided into 6Gy radiation treatment group and non radiation treatment group. After radiation treatment, total RNA was extracted and sequenced after 48 hours of continuous culture. This work revealed the transcriptome changes of HCC cells after radiotherapy.
