Summary of the available literature on clinical predictors of non-typhoidal Salmonella bloodstream infection in children in sub-Saharan Africa, used to develop the clinical predication model published as "Developing a clinical prediction model to modify empirical antibiotics for non-typhoidal Salmonella bloodstream infection in children under-five in the Democratic Republic of Congo" (Table S2)
收藏资源简介:
This table summarizes data extracted from studies reporting on clinical presentation and basic laboratory tests from children with non-typhoidal Salmonella (NTS) bloodstream infection in sub-Saharan Africa. Studies were identified through systematic review of the available literature on PubMed (search string: Salmonella [TIAB] AND (non-typh*[TIAB] OR nontyph*[TIAB] OR typhimurium[TIAB] OR enteritidis[TIAB]) AND (bacterem*[TIAB] OR bacteraem*[TIAB] OR "blood culture"[TIAB] OR "bloodstream infection"[TIAB] OR sepsis [TIAB] OR invasive [TIAB])).This table was made as part of a research project to develop a clinical prediction model for NTS bloodstream infections in children in DR Congo. Parameters selected as predictors for the DeNTS prediction model are marked in green. The manuscript describing the development of the prediction model is entitled: Developing a clinical prediction model to modify empirical antibiotics for non-typhoidal Salmonella bloodstream infection in children under-five in DR Congo and authored by Bieke Tack, Daniel Vita, Jules Mbuyamba, Emmanuel Ntangu, Hornela Vuvu, Immaculée Kahindo, Japhet Ngina, Aimée Luyindula, Naomie Nama, Tito Mputu, Justin Im, Hyonjin Jeon, Florian Marks, Jaan Toelen, Octavie Lunguya, Jan Jacobs, Ben Van Calster.
