Several models recently proposed that QPEs are the electromagnetic counterpartof the GW emitters called extreme-mass ratio inspirals. We identified a way totest models proposing QPEs to be star-disk interactions by measuring the orbitaldecay driven by hydrodynamic drag induced on the star by the collisions with theaccretion disk surrounding the central black hole. We identify eRO-QPE2 as theideal candidate which allows a modest time request with XMM-Newton to make whatis perhaps the first major step forward in the newborn QPE field.
