Genomic Landscape of Colorectal Cancer from Malaysian patients. Homo sapiens

Comprehensive whole genome sequencing has the potential to enable the applications of precision medicine for cancer patients across the globe. However, to date large-scale genomic sequencing of colorectal cancer patients has been limited to Western populations with numerous sequencing studies have been reported. On the other hand, tumors from the Asian populations have not been comprehensively investigated. Therefore in this study, we performed whole genome sequencing on tumor-normal sample pairs of ten Malaysian colorectal cancer patients to identify somatic and germline alterations in which could provide added value to the current knowledge and database of the mutational landscape of colorectal cancer.
