Scenario-Based Assessment of Ethical Responsibility in Nanoscience Education: Round 1 Dataset

This dataset contains anonymized responses from 280 participants to 15 scenario-based tasks designed to assess ethical reasoning and professional responsibility in nanoscience and related high-technology fields. The scenarios address environmental ethics, responsibility for innovation, transparency and openness, prevention of harm and dual-use risks, and fairness and inclusion. Responses were coded on a three-level ordinal scale, with higher values representing more ethically substantiated decisions.
