Image dataset of painted sheet metal with quality defects

Dataset containing images from defects on painted sheet metal, which has protective plastic foil on top of it. Two types of sheets plain and with hole pattern. Image size is 2560 x 1920 pixels, gray scale. Dataset contains 571 defected images (416 from plain and 155 from holes) and 50 images from good/valid plain sheets. Defects are annotated into five (5) defect categories: scratch, elevation, dent, small defects and damaged protective layer. Elevations and dents can be merged as common category of strike. Imaging setup: 2D area scan camera (IDS UI-1480SE) with 2560 x 1920 pixel resolution. Fixed focal length lense f=16 mm. Field of View (FOV) of 128 x 96 mm. Spatial resolution 0,05 mm/px. Dark field illumination setup with two white bar lights 90 degree angle between them.
