TREFLE buoy data from SUMOS campaign

This data set contains the observations collected by the LOPS "TREFLE" drifting buoy deployed during the SUMOS campaign (Principal Investigators: P. Sutherland, LOPS, D. Hauser, LATMOS), which took place in the Bay of Biscay from 2021/02/08 to 2021/03/08. This surface buoy carries a downward-looking 300 kHz RDI WorkHorse ADCP and a XSens MTI-G IMU, and provides observation of sea state and surface-layer ocean current (down to approximately 60-m depth). During this cruise, the TREFLE buoy was deployed for a duration of 9 days, yielding 217 hours of wave and current data. Two netCDF files compose this data set, one containing the surface wave data, in a format similar to those containing the SPOTTER buoys data (https://doi.org/10.12770/0f0ba789-f8b5-438a-a2ff-7fa6710c53f1), and a second file containing the ADCP surface current and acoustic backscatter data. Both files contain the buoy tracks.
