The role of fibronectin in the post natal lens

This trancriptome analysis reports genes that are differentially expressed upon deletion of the fibronectin gene from the lens during late embryonic development. Lenses were isolated from two month Wild Type (WT) and Fibronectin Conditional Knockout mice (FNcKO) by microdissection (2 lenses/sample, three biological replicates/genotype) and total RNA was isolated. cDNA libraries were constructed using SMARTer Stranded Total RNA-Seq - Pico Input Mammalian, and sequenced using an Illumina NextSeq 500 (DNA Link USA, Inc) in an attempt to undestand the role of fibronectin in the post natal lens.
