Microbial diversity and bacterial community composition of sewage obtained from pit latrine of low-income communities in Lagos and its environs

The study assessed the microbial composition and bacterial community structure of sewage samples obtained from pit latrines located in low-income communities in Lagos metropolis and suburb. Data generated gives insight into the public health risk that might be associated with the seepage of sewage from the latrine into underground water system in the sampled locations
