Qualitative interviews underlying the dissertation "The Caretaker: Reinventing Domestic Worlds amid Collapse in Caracas."

This dataset comprises interview transcriptions with research participants for the dissertation "The Caretaker" by Stefan Gzyl. These interviews were conducted during fieldwork in Caracas in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The objective was to gather evidence of how caretakers maintain, repair, and transform the properties of emigrants. Additionally, these interviews collected general information on the country's economic, political, and institutional conditions at the time. Interviews were conducted in person, as semi-structured or open conversations with participants. Interviews were recorded as audio files, and transcribed by the author.
