Integral ecological assessment data for the Dnipro Reservoir, Ukraine
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains annual water-quality indicators and integral pollution-index results used in the article “Integral assessment of the ecological state of the Dnipro Reservoir”. The study covers 2003–2020 and focuses on three monitoring locations representing conditions upstream of the Kamianske–Dnipro urban agglomeration, downstream of Dnipro city, and near Voronove village. The annual dataset includes eleven indicators: five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), suspended solids, dissolved oxygen, sulfate, chloride, ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, synthetic surfactants, and chemical oxygen demand (COD). The package also contains annual differences between downstream station 27074 and upstream station 27048, monthly upstream and downstream values of the combinatorial water pollution index (KIZV), BOD5- and COD-related scores, COD/BOD5 ratios, and correlation results between KIZV and oxygen-regime indicators. The article reports a strong positive correlation between KIZV and BOD5, with correlation coefficients ranging from 0.92 to 0.96. This relationship supports the use of BOD5 as a priority indicator for rapid integral assessment of surface-water ecological condition.
