The Suburban Services Passenger Committee was formed following the recommendation of a Committee of Inquiry appointed by the Deputy Commissioner in 1935 to inquire into passenger travel in the Sydney and Newcastle suburban areas. The Committee comprised representatives of Traffic Branch, Mechanical Branch, Signal and Telegraph Branch, and Way and Works Branch.This series comprises reports relating to the provision of passenger services and matters affecting the operation and provision of Sydney and Newcastle suburban passenger services.Custody HistoryThis series was formerly part of the State Rail Archives collection.
