The effect of Urolithin A on the improvement of vascular endothelial function depends on the gut microbiota

Objective: In this study, we conducted a clinical trial to explore the effects of UA intake on vascular endothelial function and on the intestinal environment such as gut microbiome profiling and organic acids composition. In addition, the characteristics of the intestinal environment of subjects who showed improvement of vascular endothelial function upon UA intake were also evaluated by an exploratory analysis.
