Dataset of Manuscript "Resolving coupled water-seismicity-energy trade-offs in shale gas development"

This repository contains three datasets used in this study, covering water injection, shale gas production, and earthquake activity across multiple counties in Oklahoma from 2021 to 2023. Dataset S1 (Water Injection Records) includes detailed information on both hydraulic fracturing freshwater use and saltwater disposal (SWD) operations, providing well-level identifiers (API), geographic coordinates, injection volumes, depth parameters, and monthly operational records. Dataset S2 (Gas Production Records) reports annual shale gas production at the well level, including production volumes, spatial matching information, and associated well and county attributes. Dataset S3 (Earthquake Catalog) compiles seismic events within the study area, including event locations, magnitudes, occurrence dates, and county assignments. Together, these datasets provide a comprehensive, spatially resolved basis for analyzing the interactions among fluid injection, energy production, and induced seismicity.
