We characterize histone H2A.Z binding and RNA expression in the hippocampus of young (2.5 months) and aged (15.5 months) mice in response to contextual fear conditioning. Overall design: We use ChIP to characterize H2A.Z binding under basal and learning-induced conditions in the hippocampus of young and aged mice. H2A.Z binding is compared to gene-expression levels in response to learning.
