The CDC NSSP/ESSENCE dataset is an aggregate syndromic surveillance dataset of US Emergency Department (ED) visits for influenza-like illness (ILI), COVID-19, and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). It covers a large fraction of US ED visits via the BioSense platform/ESSENCE, with weekly cadence and geographic levels including national and subnational-state.
