Epiphytic Bacterial communities of different seaweeds collected from rocky intertidal zone of Mission Rocks, Cape Vidal (Leven Point), South Africa

Although the interrelations between algae-bacteria are multifaceted and complicated, seaweeds of the intertidal regions are a rich source of surface-associated bacteria. However, little is known about their structure and functions of those epiphytic bacteria. In this study, we performed a comprehensive characterization of epiphytic bacterial communities associated with eight different seaweeds of three major groups collected from the rocky intertidal zone of Mission Rocks, Cape Vidal (Leven Point), South Africa.
