Our study revealed correlations between faecal microbiota and high or low H. contortus infection in sheep. Microbial analyses of faecal samples were conducted using automated ribosomal intergenic spacer analysis (ARISA) and 16S rDNA sequencing. These findings suggest that manipulation of the sheep gut microbiota could impact host infection and/or recovery from infection.
